📖 This Week's Story

On Thursday evening before his death, Jesus gathered his twelve closest friends — his disciples — for a special dinner. This is called the Last Supper — "Verjin Untrnik" in Armenian. First, Jesus did something surprising. He got down on his knees and washed his disciples' feet! In those days, washing feet was a servant's job. But Jesus said: "I am showing you how to serve others." Then he took bread, broke it, and said: "This is my body." He took a cup of wine and said: "This is my blood. Do this to remember me." That's why we have Holy Communion in our church — to remember Jesus.
