📖 This Week's Story

Today we'll learn about the most important saint in Armenian history — St. Gregory the Illuminator, or "Soorp Krikor Loosavorich." A long time ago, the king of Armenia, named Tiridates, did not believe in God. He put Gregory in a deep, dark pit for 13 years! But Gregory never stopped praying. When the king became very sick, only Gregory could heal him through prayer. The king was so amazed that he decided to follow Jesus. In the year 301, Armenia became the very first country in the whole world to become Christian! Gregory built churches all across the land and taught everyone about God's love. That's why we call him the "Illuminator" — he brought the light of faith to Armenia.
