📖 This Week's Story

Vartan Mamigonian was a brave Armenian general. A powerful king wanted all Armenians to give up their Christian faith. Vartan said: "From our faith, no one can shake us — not angels, not men, not fire, not sword!" He led his soldiers into the Battle of Avarayr in 451 to protect the right of Armenians to worship God. Even though Vartan died in battle, his bravery saved the Armenian faith forever. Today, we remember him as a hero who chose faith over everything.
