📖 This Week's Story

Jesus was about 30 years old when he went to the Jordan River. His cousin John was there, baptizing people — washing them in the water as a sign of starting fresh with God. Jesus asked John to baptize him. When Jesus came up out of the water, something amazing happened! The sky opened up, and a dove came down from heaven. Then God's voice spoke: "This is my beloved Son!" This moment is called the Baptism of Jesus — in Armenian, "Mkrdootyoon." It's when God showed the whole world who Jesus was. Many of you have been baptized too! Your baptism connected you to Jesus and to our church family.
