📖 This Week's Story
Forty days after Easter, Jesus gathered his disciples on a mountaintop. He had been with them, teaching and eating and laughing together. But now it was time for him to return to his Father in heaven.
Jesus told them: "Don't be afraid. I will send you a helper — the Holy Spirit. And remember: I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
Then Jesus rose up into the sky, higher and higher, until a cloud received him. The disciples watched in amazement. Two angels appeared and said: "Why are you looking up? He will come back one day!"
This event is called the "Hampartzoom" — the Ascension.
